Movie Show of the Past 10 Years in Hong Kong Celebration

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to China, Hong Kong Film Awards and Radio Television Hong Kong co-hosted the "Movie Show of the Past 10 Years in Hong Kong."

Alex Fong won the first award as "my favorite actor of the new century." "Happy Together" was awarded as the most memorable movie, with "Infernal Affairs" awarded as the most memorable title song.

Best actor awards were given to Stephen Chow, Tony Leung Ka Fai, Anthony Wong, Andy Lau and Tony Leung Chiu Wai.

Zhou Xun, Qin Hailu and Zhang Ziyi joined Cecilia Cheung and Maggie Cheung for the best actress awards.

The committee announced 4 category winners first but the rest of the selection and award winners will be announced on April 16, 2007.

Zhou Xun received The Best Supporting Actress Nominee at the 2007 Hong Kong Film Awards

This year's Hong Kong Film Awards released its nominations list on Thursday in Hong Kong.

High-profile director Zhang Yimou's big-budget blockbuster "Curse of the Golden Flower" topped the list, receiving 14 nominations, including those for Best Movie, Best Director and Best Actor and Actress.

The other work by a big name director, Feng Xiaogang's martial arts epic "The Banquet," got seven nominations, including those for Best Supporting Actress ( our beloved Zhou Xun ^^. Other Nominees for Best Supporting Actress are Lin Xilei,Liang Luoshi, Yu Anan,Tian Ruini) and Best Art Direction.

Both of Johnny To's most recent films, "Exile" and "Election 2," also entered the nominations list for Best Movie and Best Director.

The 26th Hong Kong Film Awards will be held on April 15th.
