Stolen Life Wins Best Narrative Feature at Tribeca

The winners of the fourth annual Tribeca Film Festival, co-founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff, have been announced at an awards ceremony at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center in Tribeca.

This year’s Festival included more than 250 films from 45 countries on six continents, and featured panel discussions, filmmaker events, gala premieres of major studio releases, the Family Festival, and visits by delegations from Sarajevo and Shanghai.

Stolen Life from director Li Shaohong won the Best Narrative Feature. The film follows a young woman who starts college believing she is embarking on a new life away from her family-and she is, but not the new beginning she anticipates. Once at school, she immediately meets Muyu and falls in love with him. What she does not know is that from the moment he met her Muyu began an intricate deception that will lead to the loss of her child and the future she believes in.

Robert De Niro presented the award to Shaohong who also recieved the $25,000 prize.
